Maca Root

Maca root is another South American plant, and it is believed that ancient Incan warriors used Maca to boost their endurance and strength in preparation for long journeys and battles. Maca remains a popular supplement for its regulation of natural hormone levels in the body for both men and women and has an abundance of amino acids, complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It is also used to support the adrenal glands. It assists the body’s ability to cope with stressors – whether they’re from external or internal sources.

Buckwheat is one of the unsung heroes of the superfood world. Despite being around for thousands of years, many remain unaware of its incredible health benefits and versatility. Not a grain, and not related to wheat, buckwheat is actually the seed of a plant related to rhubarb. It can be used as a grain, but it’s gluten-free. Buckwheat is rich in the flavonoids, rutin, and quercetin. Rutin strengthens the blood vessels while quercetin helps to reduce inflammation.

Buckwheat is also rich in fiber and can lower your cholesterol.
